As I write, Grizzly will be preparing to disembark his ferry at Pembroke Docks, after a 4 hour journey across St George's Channel from Rosslare. After weeks of scorching weather, it looks as if he'll be in danger of getting wet, on his way to his overnight stop at Leigh Delamere services on the M4. The Travelodge is his regular stopover point. He may even has his own parking space by now, he's stayed there so many times!
On the home front. Ginny had a thorough wash in the week, and this morning I have checked her oil and coolant levels, the latter needing a top up. She sits patiently waiting with panniers fitted, at the back of the garage, for Tuesday morning. In the house, I think I have got everything together I want to take, but as yet haven't had a dummy packing run. Paperwork is all sorted, so there's only a few minor things to tick off my packing/prep list.
I'm looking forward to seeing Grizzly tomorrow. The past year seems to have flown by and it doesn't seem 5 minutes since we were in Italy. We'll have our usual pre-tour dinner and couple of beers tomorrow evening and then, no doubt, a reasonably early night, as we need to be on the road by 06:15. Tuesday will be a long day, without doubt. Schnitzel and wheat beer will hopefully top up the energy levels though.
That's all for now. There'll be regular posts from Tuesday on, so if you haven't already, please consider signing up to receive updates via email (there's a box bottom left of the blog), for the most up-to-date news.
Bye
