Just as I was getting in my stride again, would you believe it?, I don't, my bloomin' PC decided it had had enough and refused to power on. I suspected the power supply may have reached the end of its useful life but rather than spend on a new power supply, I decided to take the plunge and get something a bit more up to date. I'm not quite sure how old the PC was but probably somewhere in the region of 10 years. My laptop is 2009, with Vista on it and my Asus mini laptop, is 2011. I'm looking to replace both of them with another mini laptop again, so it fits in my panniers and will enable me to blog whilst away, rather than trying to do it on my phone!
As the year turned and the cold weather withdrew slightly, I popped out and gave Ginny a run. She's SORNed, untaxed for those not in the know, so I just ran her for a while in the garage. Even sitting dormant for 3 months, she never fails to fire up first time or run properly. I say that but I did have to change the battery in the key fob before she did burst into life. I'll be looking to get her serviced, the final one on my 5 year service plan, early March, with her MOT due by 17th. Then it will just be a case of waiting for some dry sunny weather to come along, so I can get out and about again. I still have a long list of places I'd like to visit.
A very quick update. Hope the new year is all you hoped it would be. It's not all fireworks and alcohol though, I can tell you.
Bye for now.
